Change Tpain 17-20

Racism is still going on in maycomb and they all accuse the black people for doing everything wrong. When Tim rombinson is accused of raping mayella he was framed. Mayella had no friends and had no one to talk to so she tried to get tom robinson to kiss her. As the person who beat her up was no other than mayellas own father bob ewell. Atticus actually won the case i think because he got the story down that Tom didnt do anything and at the end of Chapter 20 he asks for the whole town and judge to “change” to stop accusing every black person in maycomb. This song pretty much sums it up

Heartless By Kanye West 13-16

Aunt Alexandria is really mean thats why i used this song because she doesnt care about anything. She calls atticus a disgrace to the family for trying to defend a black man accused of rape. Now heartless by kanye west is broad explaining that what he did before all these people including this girl got dirt on him. Aunt Alexandria has so much beef on black people i mean i dont know if shes racist. Scout and Jem cant even go to church service with capulurnia. I think she shouldnt be that harsh shes really mean to that family and saying they dont need calpurnia shes evil. Truthfully if i had an aunt like that i wouldnt even think of being related to her. yeah i dont really know if shes mean or heartless or trying to change the atticus family.

Ch 10-12 Church By Tpain and Move if you Wanna by Mims

Yeaah so i didnt know what to pick because i liked both songs and they both made sense in the story. Ok well what i heard is that that old lady Ms.Dubose is hecka mean and talked mess about Scout and Jem an always yells at them when they pass by her house. She also calledd scouts father some nigger trash thing and Jem got really mad. Jem took a baton and started smashing all of Ms. Dubose camelias and then had to serve Ms. Dubose for one month and i guess it also relates on how scout and jem go to church later in the book but the song relates to jem on how he gets mad and scout because the lady plainly wont be quiet and polite. In the song some dude gets mad because somone wouldnt be quite so i guess he takes her to church because hes mad lol. Its a weird song but it goes with this somehow and for the song move if you wanna it relates to how Atticus is big in the town and how hes bad too being called one shot finch.

Why hide it?(Ch.10-12)

In this chapter we get a more physical description of Atticus. Scout talks about how Atticus is one of the older fathers in Maycomb, and that he isn’t a hunter or fisher, but a business wearing glasses and reading. When a mad dog comes into town, Calpurnia calls Atticus who then brings the sheriff (Heck Tate). Tate asks Atticus to shoot the dog, which he does. Jem and Scout were amazed he did this becuase all they thought of him was a business man, and not much else. Even more amazing, Atticus kills the dog in one shot from far away, bringing the question when did he learn to shoot so well. Later we learn that when Atticus was longer he was the “best shot in the country”. This shows alot about his character. It shows how modest he is, and how he views the world. He doesn’t view the world like the rest of the southerners. They all stayed in Maycomb and didn’t go to college, but Atticus did and has a completely different view of the world then them. This would explain why he wouldn’t go off bragging about his ability to shoot to everyone. You never really know what to expect from some people, even his kids didn’t know this, which shows you’ll never everything about someone.

Ch 5-9 Where is the Love BEP
Posted on May 12th, 2009 at 12:54 pm by jayvince16 and

I picked this song Where is the love by black eyed peas because this song is basically about discrimination and racism and the peace in the world. Since this book was from a long time ago racism grew at large where black people worked for white people and had no rights. Where is the love by BEP represented peace and the world and change and how everyone should get equal rights. In the book this kid named cecil calls Scouts Father Atticus a nigger lover which was a racist term back then. A black man accused of raping a girl. Atticus is to defend him of his rights but black people never got rights so this is why i picked this song because of racial discrimination.

Section 5-9

The setting of “To Kill A Mockingbird” is perfectly set up for the situations that occur in this section of the book.  Racism is rampant. The hint of racism in the town is palpable. Atticus takes the case of a black man that he believes is innocent. He thinks the man is falsely accused of rape. But, because of his skin color, everyone in Mayberry hates Tom Robinson. But the racism goes deeper than just the general hating of a certain black man. People in the early history of the United States leading up to the mid 20th century, especially in the south, were raised on racist and unjust notions. But these ideals weren’t considered terrible or obscene. They were based on what every citizen of the south was raised on. So when Atticus challenged the state of being by defending a black man, he wasn’t only defying a town, he was objecting an entire way of life.

Ch 1-4 Day N Nite KiD CuDi

In the 4 chapters scout and her friends talk and act out the Radleys. They mention how he goes out at night and starts scratching at people windows and how Boo is lonely and weird. This song basically talks about everything. Day n nite talks about a lonely man. This song probably has to be about Nathan and how he is being weird in the night like being bipolar. They talk about how the Radleys are lonely and how they stay in their house and go out once awhile in the song day n nite it relates to that somewhat.

An image of Maycomb

This picture to me describes what scout’s town looks like. When scout talks about her town, she says how it is dull and quiet, and the houses in the picture are also dull. If you look at it closely you see a few people there, which looks like it would be quiet town. She also states how everyone knows everything about anyone. She goes on about how the Radley place was once a nice looking house, to what it is now which looks like an abandoned place, which no one has lived in for years. In the pictures the house looks like it is decaying, this is how I imagine Maycomb.
